Ayurveda Aromatherapy is the combination of two ancient healing sciences, Ayurveda and Aromatherapy, where ancient tactile Ayurveda therapies are implemented based on the principles of Ayurveda with the use of Ayurveda Aromatherapy essential and base oils (most of which are not known of in the Western Aromatherapy world). Ayurveda Aromatherapy bridges the gap between these two sciences and by combining the different aspects of both, effectively enhances and revives the ancient aromatic style of Ayurveda, creating a unique and beneficial holistic therapy.
Ayurveda, the age old science of Indian medicine which means the science of life, goes back 4000 years in written script but the origins of this ancient science is said to be over 40000 years old!
Ayurveda has specified ways in which aromatics, diet, herbs and even cosmetics could help to sustain mental equilibrium as the good mind is of utmost importance for the physical, emotional and spiritual well being.
Essential oils are seventy to a hundred times more concentrated than the plant itself. The oils are the prana, Qi or the life force of the plant. We are synergising the prana or life force of these oils with our own prana thereby bringing an expansion and clarity on a mental, physical and a spiritual level. Essential Oils can be used in baths, as a compress, in vaporizers, for inhalation and best of all, blended with base products and carrier oils are excellent for massage & skincare. They should be a 100 % pure and natural and therefore it is important that the oils you use are from a reputable company where you can be ensured of purity, quality and ethics.

Aromatics have long been used for beauty, health and spirituality in India in the form of herbs, extracts and herbal oil decoctions. Indian women have always used flowers, herbs and oils for daily body care. Traditionally, they dry their long hair by spreading them over sweet scented rocks, which are heated with aromatics, allowing the aroma from the steam to infuse into the hair.
For Indian weddings it is an ancient custom to prepare the bride to be for a specific period of time with special oils, freshly extracted from crushing the sweet scented exotic flowers like the rose, champa, chameli, mogra, kewda & jasmine. Using these oils would enhance her sensuality, revitalize her skin and balance her emotions.
The philosophy of this ancient science is practiced till to date in Indian households and we at Subtle Energies have been pioneers in reviving the science of using rare and unique essential oils, long forgotten in traditional Ayurvedic practices today.
