Subtle Energies started in 1993 and is based on the knowledge, experiences and research of Farida Irani. Farida has been internationally recognised for being a pioneer in Ayurveda Aromatherapy and in reviving this ancient aromatic branch of Ayurveda (the Ancient Indian science of medicine, which literally means "Science of Life"), long forgotten by many practising Ayurveda today.

Over the years Subtle Energies grew as a family business and became more recognised as being able to source some of the finest essential and base oils out of India. Starting as a practitioner only brand, their reputation for blending and quality of products received industry attention. Farida's courses in Ayurveda Aromatherapy became much sought after and were combined and accredited in Australia as a Diploma in Ayurveda Aromatherapy, the first of its kind. In 2001 Farida was head hunted by the spa industry to provide products and training that would assure their clients exceptional results and benefits. Subtle Energies then created and supplied unique signature oil blends to exclusive spa brands found in the most luxurious of hotels, palaces and resorts in India, along with many boutiques and spas locally and around the world, including Golden Door & Qantas First Class Lounges. Subtle Energies subsequently partnered with The Six Senses Group to implement all their destination & partner spas with an Ayurveda Aromatherapy treatment menu and product range.

With its reputation growing within the international spa industry, Subtle Energies realised that it was time in 2010 to redevelop its own brand and product line. After redesigning the humble Subtle Energies label and packaging, Subtle Energies has also launched its much awaited natural skin care range and for the first time made its exclusive products available for retail sale.  Blending its high quality of unique oils with carefully formulated natural skin care bases, this new skin care line has been created in collaboration with some of the finest natural skin care chemists in Australia.

Subtle Energies unique approach to skincare, is the use of rare and beneficial oils from India, combined with a European standard of natural skincare. All manufacturing and testing is done in Australia in accordance with international standards.
